PUBG Update 30.2 reintroduces tactical items and adds exclusive Automobili Lamborghini containers to starting islands.

The battlegrounds shift again as Update 30.2 introduces a blend of returning tactical tools, high-end vehicle flair, and quality-of-life improvements. The patch window brings PC maintenance from July 10 at 12 AM to 8:30 AM UTC, while console players face a later window on July 18 from 1 AM to 9 AM UTC. These times are always subject to change, but the cadence remains familiar: PC players can expect rotations every Wednesday at 2 AM UTC, and console players every Thursday at 7 AM UTC.

Map Rotation and Ranked Service

The Normal Match map pool lists Erangel at 25%, Miramar at 25%, Taego at 20%, Vikendi at 20%, and Rondo at 10%. Rotations featuring Deston follow a different probability model: each map has a 20% chance, while Weeks 2 and 4 give fixed and favored maps a 22% probability, with the remaining etc. maps sitting at 11% each. Ranked map service continues to be updated on a season-by-season basis.

Returning Tactical Items

Several useful tactical items are making a return with adjustments, and the following changes apply to Normal Match and Custom Match.

  • The Tactical Pack now occupies the primary weapon slot, and its attachment slots increase from 2 to 3.

  • Healing item usage times are slightly reduced: Med Kit takes 4 seconds, First Aid Kit takes 3 seconds, Bandage takes 2 seconds, and Battle Ready Kit takes 4 seconds.

  • Reviving a teammate is faster, changing from 8 seconds to 5 seconds.

  • The All-In-One Repair Kit now occupies the secondary weapon slot and can be used up to 3 times instead of 10.

  • The All-In-One Repair Kit, Tactical Pack, and EMT Gear now world spawn on all maps.

The developers explained that items aiding enemy detection and directly influencing engagements can significantly impact PUBG's core gameplay, so those are not being reintroduced. By contrast, tactical items like the Emergency Pickup, Folded Shield, and Mortar have demonstrated strategic value across Normal Match, Ranked, and Esports settings. Could their return push squads toward more creative rotations, or will they become rare situational pickups? The team plans to evaluate performance in Normal Match first and gather player feedback.

Automobili Lamborghini Containers

What better way to make a landing statement than a Lamborghini waiting on the starting island? An exclusive Automobili Lamborghini container is available on the starting islands of Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, Vikendi, Taego, Deston, and Rondo.

The container can only be unlocked by players who own Automobili Lamborghini skins. Only the player who unlocks the container and their teammates can operate or ride in the vehicle. The window is short but stylish: the container and vehicle remain available from the start of the match until the squad boards the plane, then they disappear. The feature works in Normal Match, Ranked, and Casual Mode, and the Lamborghini containers are available for two months.

Vehicle customization has also been expanded. Players can now equip up to 4 vehicle skins per vehicle type through Customize - Vehicle - Special Skins - Edit Skin.

Looting and Inventory Improvements

The update makes looting easier with several interface upgrades. Availability, remaining count, and cooldown are now displayed for items on the floor and in the Inventory, including the Emergency Pickup, Blue Chip, Blue Chip Transmitter, All-In-One Repair Kit, and Stun Gun.

The Gear Recommendation feature now highlights gear with higher durability even if it is the same level as current gear, gear when current gear is destroyed, all lootable gear rather than only the nearest gear, and the Jammer Pack when equipping a Lv. 2 Backpack.

Dragging nearby items into the Inventory now displays a clearer inventory area and a new UI for items being dragged. The suggestion UI highlights where attachments will be equipped: when unarmed, attachments go to the first available weapon, and when armed, they go to the currently held weapon. Players can also move items directly from Loot Crates to the Trunk. If a new Throwable exceeds Inventory weight while looting, it will automatically replace the existing Throwable.

2D Replay

A new 2D Replay tab is available under Career - Match History - Match Report - 2D Replay.

Available information includes match details, the player list, maps, players, engagements, Zones, Care Packages, and detailed information for specific players. Playback speeds are available at 1, 2, 5, 10, and 20x on PC, and 5 and 10x on console.

World Changes

Taego no longer features PUBG x NewJeans-themed decorations. Deston loses Drone Rooms but gains the Flare Gun. The spawn rate of the Emergency Pickup has slightly decreased in Miramar and Rondo.

Fantasy Battle Royale Returns

The fan-favorite mode Fantasy Battle Royale returns to the Dragon's Isle on Erangel.

The mode is TPP-only with 20 squads of 4, allowing up to 80 players per match. One-man or three-man squads are not supported, but matchmaking will automatically find suitable companions. Friendly fire is disabled, except for the friendliest fire of all from the mendingstar and heal bomb. Fantasy BR matches do not count toward the Survivor Pass, but Arcade Points are granted. Exclusive missions and stores are unavailable, BP rewards are not granted, and XP is earned based on total gameplay time. The service period differs by platform, so players should check the in-game schedule for exact windows.

Crafter Pass and Workshop Changes

Starting with Update 30.2, Crafter Passes are no longer purchasable with in-game currency G-COIN. The total number of Loot Caches obtainable from the Crafter Pass has been significantly increased, while the total number of Tokens has been slightly reduced.

A Prime Parcel reward and 600 Polymer have been added to the Premium Pass. A 100 G-COIN reward has been added as a free reward, while a 400 G-COIN reward has been added to the Premium Pass. The 20% BP Boost is now available as a free reward for all players, with an additional 30% BP Boost added to the Premium Pass. A brand-new Crafter Pass also supports the Automobili Lamborghini collaboration, with Special Crafting available until the closing dates.

Bug Fixes

Numerous fixes arrived in this update, including corrections for observing screen weapon displays when switching from FPP to TPP, shooting before fully leaning out of a vehicle passenger seat, Zipline Gun use when other characters are nearby, and vaulting over the Folded Shield on moving ferries, trains, or Cable Cars. The patch also fixes the Gas Can and Molotov Cocktail vehicle explosion exploit, Recall players not being counted as remaining players, Blue Zone Grenade flash effects on the ground, parachute handle alignment, and the Ghillie Suit obstructing the view with a 6x Scope from a specific vehicle seat. Additional fixes address Deston wall attacks, collision and texture issues on Deston and Taego, Killfeed skin display problems, special crafting UI misalignment, and several cosmetic and localization errors.
